The heart in this system is the BUS (Base Unit Supplier), a range of practical trolleys that reduce staff lifting, simplifying cleaning and speed up the flow of reprocessing sterile goods.

The BUS standard trolley is designed for use together with modular SPRI wire baskets. For containers we recommend the Jubilee model (STU) model, described in separate menu.

Getinge has developed a versatile storage and distribution system that makes the circulation of sterile goods simple, ergonomical and efficient. The heart of this system is the BUS (Base Unit Supplier), a range of practical trolleys that reduce lifting, simplify cleaning and speed up the flow of sterile goods.

BUS trolleys are designed for return transport of soiled goods from the users to the CSSD, for storage of packing material in the packing area, for ready-to-roll holding units for sterile goods at the CSSD, and for transfer back to the users, where they also serve as temporary storage units.

BUS trolleys are made of stainless steel, designed to withstand thermal disinfection at 90°C. The range includes washable cloth covers and disposable plastic covers to further protect the goods during transport and storage. As an option, the BUS trolley can be used as loading trolley for sterilizers. Please contact your local Getinge representative for further info.

The compact size of the trolley makes it ergonomical to load and unload. The open design and ability to pull out and secure baskets/shelves more than halfway assures easy viewing and picking of individual packs. Loading and unloading can be done from both long sides. As fully a loaded trolley with infusion fluid tends to become very heavy, the fluid handling BUS trolley has a solid top and bottom base for extra security.

1. Shelf for storage of small containers, single packs and disposable packs.

2. Fine-mesh basket for the BUS trolley. For storage and transport of small articles. Mesh size 10 mm. Dividers can be placed crosswise (561606203), lengthwise (561606202) and diagonally (561606202).

3. Glide-blocks for SPRI sterilizer baskets. Greatly reduce friction against the guiderails. Eight (8) blocks per basket are required.

4. Protective covers: BUS trolleys can be fitted with covers for further protection of the goods during transport and storage. The range includes both disposable plastic covers and washable cloth covers. The cloth covers have zippers in two corners so that one long side can be opened for easy access to the goods.

5. Identification tag: For use on baskets in sterile storage.

The basket trolley has 4 swivel castors (diameter 75 mm), mounted in ball bearings, to make it easy to handle even in narrow passages. The trolley is made of stainless steel and is easy to clean and disinfect in a washer-disinfector. The trolley can, as an option, be adapted with a removable handle, easy to attach, for improved convenience during transport. Load capacity: approx. 150 kg.

INTRIM TRANSPORT TROLLEY

This trolley is used for transport and storage of filled modular sterilizing wire baskets, from the packing tables to the automatic loading units in front of the sterilizers and for collection of goods from conveyors or the automatic unloading units of sterilizers. The design gives easy, ergonomic transfer of the goods from one piece of equipment to another without any heavy lifting and thus simplifies the work of the processing area staff.

The top of the trolley is designed as an undriven, gravity roller conveyor with guiding frames of polished stainless steel. The width of the guiding frames can be adjusted between 560 - 600 mm.

On the handle side of the trolley, the roller conveyor is equipped with a fixed stop. On the transfer end the trolley is equipped with a manually operated drop stop, for fixing the wire basket load during transport. This stop is operated from the handle side. The trolley has 4 rubber swivel castors with ball bearings, 2 of which have brakes. The castors have a diameter of 125 mm. There are 2 models with different lengths and trolley capacities. An electric, height-adjustable model is also available. Wire baskets or loading modules used with this trolley must have a rigid bottom frame to assure easy transfer.

LIFT TROLLEY

It is especially suitable for large containers, baskets and other items where heavy lifting is required. Low in weight and easy to maneuver. The lift trolley is made of stainless steel for durability and easy cleaning. Fitted with a drop protection device for extra safety. Lift trolley for comfortable handling of both light and heavy goods. Hygienic design with accessible handles on a compact frame. The size of the lifting platform is 525 x 470 mm, which also allows the trolley to serve as a temporary work platform. The lifting height is 140–1735 mm and the lifting speed is 120 mm/sec. Strong wheels allow smooth handling of loads up to 70 kg/155 pounds. The battery-powered lift is silent and has a built-in drop protection device for extra safety.
