Getinge Air Glide System for Washer-Disinfectors


The washer-disinfectors are aligned side by side, with one shuttle that moves smootly along the front of the loading and another along the unloading side. Wash-carts are taken to a single point with a loading conveyor, and don't have to be moved manually again.

As soon as one of the washer-disinfectors is available, the shuttle automatically picks up the next wash cart from the loading conveyor and delivers it to the free washer-disinfector. The Getinge AGS automatically sets the washer-disinfector to the correct program. No supervision is needed, and it can all be automatically documented for full traceability.

The AGS is built up by:

  • Loading and unloading conveyors: here you will place your wash carts with soiled goods and collect the clean and ready wash carts.
  • Linear unit: the AGS is built up by an independent framework around the machines. On top of the washer disinfectors, the linear unit moves the hanging shuttle horizontally in front of them.
  • Hanging shuttle: this shuttle collects the cart from the loading conveyor as soon as one of the washer-disinfectors is available. The shuttle then moves along the washer-disinfectors and loads them automatically.
  • The AGS can also be combined with an automatic return conveyor for the returning process of the wash carts, as an option together with a hatch or pass-through chamber (double door installation).
  • Parallel arrangement

    Due to the parallel arrangement of washer-disinfector there is always back up capacity and maximal availability. Each shuttle, soiled and clean side, is equipped with a hook, which is used for loading and unloading wash carts. The smooth action of the shuttle, frees floor for easy cleaning.

    The loading and unloading conveyors are installed in a fix position and the conveyors process the carts via a rotating belt that is also easy to clean.

    The AGS has a control system separated from the washer-disinfectors. The control system is equipped with a built-in safety system which stops the shuttle if a person or object is touched.

    All machines require maintainance from time to time. But ther is no reason to shut down all of your washer-disinfectors unless all of them require maintaince.

    With Getinge AGS, you dont need to. The system keeps on running, keeps on feeding the available washer disinfectors. So you get the maximum uptime.

    Safe & reliable

    Once the wash carts are placed on the loading conveyor, your staff is free to perform other tasks. Human error is minimized because the AGS is fully automatic, including program selection. Only when the goods have completed an approval cycle are they released on the clean side.

    There are no moving parts inside the machine, and all the surfaces are easy to clean, including the floor.

    Ergonomical

    Getinge offers a complete system for minimizing strain. Thanks to the height-adjustable trolleys, wash carts can be lowerered to a comfortable height for loading, then be raised for transfer to the Getinge AGS. From then on everything is handeled automatically.
