The disinfection room should be equipped with a collection point for soiled goods, a hand wash-basin, a flusher-disinfector, and a storage space for clean goods. These four facility features are the four cornerstones necessary for maintaining good working routines for good hygiene. “Clean hands on clean goods” is the dominant rule for all working procedures in the disinfection room.
Getinge has designed three typical furniture combinations for disinfection rooms. All of them simplify the planning and installation process, as well as minimize the risk for cross-infection with the help of the four cornerstones. All three combinations provide:
• Clinical sink for soiled water disposal and other liquid waste.
• Flusher-disinfectors that fulfill EN ISO 15883, for best cleaning performance.
• Wash basin located next to the flusher-disinfector supports a “clean hands on clean goods” strategy.
• Wall racks and storage cabinets for hygienic storage of clean items.
• “Plug-and-play” unit with central connection points for cold and hot water supply as well as for the drainage to minimize installation times and costs.
